Forty long-term unemployed people from North-Eastern Germany fly to Mallorca (Germany’s favourite vacation island) to participate in a 10-week internship programme. Working according to strict schedules, among sun-bathing and partying tourists, the internship programme is expected to improve the participants’ chances on the job market back home. They should learn to cope with a completely new environment, and be open-minded towards new things that they encounter. For most of the participants, the project ‘Prima Mallorca‘ is THE biggest opportunity in their lives, and for some, maybe the last. But on this island full of fun, daily temptations and the lack of a daily work routine are a serious challenge for the participants.
