For four years Thomas worked as a naval navigator. Then his mother started going blind. In order to take care of her he gave up his previous life in Barcelona, moved to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and, being jobless, started to live on social welfare. He became depressive because of the long and grey winters and his hopeless situation there. Now his mother is better and Thomas can start taking care of himself again. He speaks some Spanish and loves the sun and the sea. His idea is to use the project as a springboard: His aim is it to find a permanent job and a flat, and to stay in Mallorca.
